CVD’s are the number one cause of death globally. An estimated 17.5 million people died from CVD’s in 2005, representing 30% of all global deaths. These are projected to remain the single leading causes of death. CVD’s are as lethal as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and diabetes plus all forms of cancer and chronic respiratory disease combined. CVD’s can be fatal if assistance is not sought immediately.

Cardio Care is a global organization which is concerned with the increasing rate of cardiovascular disease all over the world and is monitoring the steps being taken to prevent or reduce it. Cardio Care aims to promote and safeguard cardiovascular health globally by launching its very own cardiovascular disease campaign. The main goal of launching this campaign is to increase awareness of cardiovascular disease, to inform people of the new treatments available and especially to effectively control CVD risk factors and to reduce the burden of the increasing incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD), particularly in developing countries.

Cardio Care has previously played a major role in educating people and promoting awareness about CVD’s and has been applauded for its efforts by the international community. Cardio Care continues its mission, this time by launching an awareness campaign website, and hopes that it helps them achieve their goal.
